ISO certification process

Procedure for ISO Registration

The actions must be taken in order to receive the ISO Certificate or to register with ISO are as follows:

Step 1: Choosing the Certification Type
Selecting the type of certification that the company or organisation requires is the first step.

Step 2: Submit a form
Once the ISO standard has been chosen, the applicant must submit the appropriate form. The applicant’s and the certifying body’s rights and obligations must be specified in the application.

Step 3- Document Submission
The application must be submitted along with the necessary paperwork, and the ISO certification agency will then review it. All quality manuals and papers pertaining to the various policies followed by the business or organisation will be examined by the ISO Certification body.

Step 4-Quality Management System Initial Review
The Registrar reviews the Pre-assessment, or the initial review of the Quality Management System in a company/organization, to find any significant weaknesses and to give the company/organization a chance to address any issues before the regular registration assessment is carried out.

Step 5-Creating an action plan
The ISO registrar notifies the organisation of any shortcomings after the initial review of the Quality management system has been completed. The applicant must create an action plan to close these deficiencies. A list of the necessary actions to be conducted in order to comply with the Quality Management System should be included in the action plan.

Step 6-The Registrar’s On-Premises Audit
To verify the modifications made to the business/organization, the Registrar will perform an inspection on-site. The organisation will be divided into two groups based on severity if the Registrar determines that the necessary adjustments do not comply with the ISO criteria. These are the categories:

  • Minor Non-compliances
  • Major Non-compliances

Step 7- Getting an ISO Certificate
When all non-compliances are corrected and updated in the ISO audit report, the Registrar will award the ISO certification.
